Buffy Ste-Marie and the Buffalo Treaty
On July 16, 2016 Buffy Sainte-Marie and Dan Mangan did a show at the Banff Centre Shaw outdoor Amphitheatre and the signatories of the Buffalo Treaty were invite to a private reception with Buffy Ste-Marie before the concert. She received a mounted copy of the Buffalo Treaty and it was celebrated on stage.
The photo is of Tanya Harnett, artist, professor at UofA and a member of the Carry-The-Kettle First Nations in Saskatchewan. Tanya designed the Buffalo Treaty logo and she is talking with Buffy Sainte-Marie on that July evening in Banff.
