Buffalo Mountain Banff

In 2016, the Buffalo signatories signed a Resolution to reclaim the name of Tunnel Mountain in Banff to Eyarhey tatanga woweyahgey wakân in Nakoda, Iinii Istako in Blackfoot or Sacred Buffalo Mountain. In 2020, a group of citizen came together to work on making it happen.

A Buffalo Mountain Sharing Circles is also happening. While we would much prefer to invite you to walk up Sacred Buffalo Guardian Mountain and share your stories/songs/poems/art of Buffalo Mountain, current health and safety restrictions prevent us from meeting in person.
